I have been speaking with Ben, our normal track day guru, Paul at Lotus on Track and Andy on here and we all feel we need a 2021 Exiges track day. The suggestion is we book onto the Anglesey day on the 3rd of May (Bank Holiday).
Paul has kindly offered that any Exiges members can get free LoT membership if you give your Exiges membership when you book. LoT does have a restriction that attendees must have a two seater sports car, Clios and M3s are a problem. Obviously no Clio’s will give us all more track time.
If there is interest we can get some Exiges/LoT 2021 beanies.
This is low effort from me, you just book with LoT. Be assured, the usual crowd will be there in Exiges that look like Caterhams.
Any questions, please ask. Thanks Keith
2021 Exiges track day
Thanks for doing the legwork on this Keith. Its appreciated

Be a shame if I can't come with the Clio collective (Me and Steve) but completely understand if that is the case this year (not sure how us not being there will give you more track time?)
Now if I turned up in an MX5 would that be allowed?
Sadly there is no way my S1 Elise is ever going on track.....

Yes an mx5 is allowed. It has to be a sports car which tends to mean two seater. I think an Evora or 911 will be fine. Paul will honour credits from previous years.
I have an aversion to Clios when the youngsters are constantly parking them in the gravel, however, I’m think of buying one, for my son, so he can park it in the gravel!

Fully understand the LOT rules, and tend to agree with them However... Ade has attended the Exiges day for YEARS and so has his pal, for the last 4-5 years in clio'swinthattt wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 1:34 pm Yes an mx5 is allowed. I am not being rude when i say this but neither can be class as youngsters, and i have seen many a Lotus at Anglesey in the gravel and tyre walls but never a clio.
Its a shame we are not have an Exiges day, but merely a few Exigers attending a LOT trackday.
Hopefully we can have a proper Exiges trackday in the future and normal service can be resumed

I have run some costings through for a dedicated trackday as part of another club I am involved in. The figures to hire a track for a day are frightening. These were last years figures
Blyton Park : £8200+vat
Cadwell Park : £10100+vat + addons such as litter clean up afterwards
Donnington Park : £16 something + vat
If we had 30 cars running at Cadwell it would work out around £405 each to break even.

Thats why in the past it was either a bookatrack or LOT day but with Exiges members being the only ones who could book (Exclusive day) until a couple of months before the event.andybond wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 1:46 pm

Memory say its something like 56 cars at Anglesey
The LOT fee this year is £199, i recall the bookatrack days being in the £300.00 region.
It is doable but needs to be being sort six months ago, not now.
Benja put hours of work into making it all happen
Not saying its cheap etc etc etc
Just saying that using a non exclusive day means some long term members will now be excluded
