It was indeed a fantastic trip - Steve (SJW) did a superb job in planning the route, so we always arrived in good time. Unfortunately, because we were covering around 300 miles per day, we had to use the m/ways & peages at times, but Steve certainly found us some fabulous driving/scenic roads to enjoy.

Now, this restaurant deserves a special mention. Features in the Michelin Guide, & I had to drag Steve there, as he was reluctant to go as �he wasn�t dressed for dinner�. Fortunately, Le Patron was a good guy, & a petrolhead… Rene Arnoux is one of his regulars! We went for the cheapest �set menu� @ euro27, & it turned out to be fantastic value as there were a couple of �freebie� taster courses included as well.
