I use a 1967 Citroen 2CV in the summer, snail pace, but always make people smile and wave , 50 MPG
Don’t hate me for this, but with the performance of the Exige to give me smiles, I decided on a cheap little runaround and went for a Fiat Panda 100HP!!! Apart from the name and the slightly poor ride it’s a little belter. I’m having lots of fun in it…
James May would approve (although I don’t really know what that says about your choice!).

Always thought the Smart was the 2cv spiritual successor
Hate Smarts, truely the worst car I have ever driven.

Mrs P ran a Smart for a few years, cute it maybe , but unfortunately , the ride, the awfull auto gearbox let it down, and the governer that came in at 70 mph , that was a bit like hitting a wall
My 2CV , is bigger, much , much better ride, nice gearbox ( even if gear lever is peculiar and better MPG,
The Smart Roadster looks fun , and people compared that to the Frog eyed Sprite, but I don’t know
What about a Brabus roadster?
Smart cars rock!!!
Gearbox, power delivery and speed limiter are all fixed by a 400 remap
And you get to play the ‘no lift game’ with them
I assume you mean shifts rather than bends?!

Or just substitute a Toyota engine:

Or put a bike engine in and go drifting and stuff
That’s quite funny! Looks as nuts as it sounds

I know this car , and the owner Jim Gazey he competes in the Midland Hillclimb Championship, because it’s had an engine transplant , it has to compete in the Sports Libre class, and it’s up against proper racers and Sportscars, but he has fun , and always pulls the crowds

I guess they are a marmite car - I love ours - always guaranteed to put a smile on my face when driving - the nearest thing I’ve driven to the original mini also
