Wet & Windy up North

Had some fun test driving in the last weeks. Ferrrari FF, 458, Maclaren, Audi R8 V10 & 8, Toyota 86, and the Evora.

On the road the Evora was simply the most fun to drive. Really really lovely suspension set up. It was the only car that for days after I was still thinking how much fun it was to drive. :sunglasses:

Lotus must have been on Danny crack when it decided on the dash however. Simply covering it in alcantara and changing the dial screens to matt would make a big improvement. I drove the non super charged, and that would suit me fine for road use, its fun to cane a low powered engine on road. The rear โ€˜windowโ€™ is insane, the Exige has a bay window compared. I was very pleasantly surprised how comfortable the seats are - the base looks like a hard plank in photos but the reality is they are very comfortable. Lotus could have added an additional storage slot in the dash or front of the tunnel and you need a childโ€™s hand to work the electric mirror adjustment. There were still random metallic noises to be heard coming out of the engine bay and there was some sort of cooling fan in the engine bay that sounds like its on top of your head when it comes on but that may be a hot country market thing only.

The Mac was the other stand out car.

But the Evora was still more fun to drive on the road. You can really feel the car set up dominating the experience rather then the engine. :sunglasses:

Praise indeed, thanks for sharing
