Thanks for this, I’m hoping things have improved - as you mention they state OEM seals now… I’m hoping they have a proper duct now otherwise what’s the point in the bigger scoop!

If extra air to feed your intercooler is your game… best feed it with ducting from side scoops not the roof

It’s like BA from the A team, or vivian from the young ones, you take that mohican off and they wouldnt look as good.

Why not get your existing roof top skin modified at Christopher Neils, its a bit more than the ebay roof, but at least it’ll remained fully lined, and you won’t have to do the seals yourself etc…
Theres a few on here that have done it, myself included…

I think its about �750 as does take quite a bit of work.
When people first started doing this mod to the S1 there was some debate over it actually working and whether the area it was feeding air from was actually a low pressire area.
I put my Cup roof on as it to me looks nicer and was made of carbon thus saving 6kg

On the big ‘intercooler test’, did anyone with the side scoop mods try bunging off the roof scoop and see how the side scoops fared on their own??

No, I meant it was more a styling exercise than anything else. I’m not so sure it has any beneficial effect on feeding the I/C at all, if anything I wouldy go as far to say it may even have a negative effect…

No, we didn’t try that. Next track day i do, I will do though.
