Urgent Help, rear discs

Car all back together now, new pads and fluid, bonus is that it stops too.
Any one know exactly what the wire spring does on the rear callipers?
Looks to me that it is just to stop pin from coming out or am I missing something??

Yes I would have to agree it is a cost saving measure!! But how much do they actually save?? not a lot I would suggest as even our budget replacement S2 discs have the vanes going in the correct direction on each side of the car.
As you can see here - http://www.seriouslylotus.com/index.php/braking/brake-discs/s2-plain-disc.html

perhaps we should strap some on to Whitey for a test !!!

fixed that for you
What am I - the Exiges crash test dummy?

(now wait 5 mins for ade to edit the post and remove the words “crash” and “test”).

Well if this threads highlighted one thing,it’s that there are perhaps better discs than EBC out there for less money !!
