Toyota R888 pressures

SeanB - What tyre pressures do you guys recommend?

Just to be clearā€¦

On the road I run 25psi all round, all day, everyday (itā€™s not actually out everyday but you get me).

At a track I drop to 21psi all round. Upon leaving the track Iā€™ll pop in about 2psi and make up the difference to 25psi when I do a post TD clean and inspection a few days later.

22/24 was with the Audi in the back, so slightly more weight

I could tell yaā€¦

Loved the tyres! Final run was 20 front & 22 rear. Wanted to try 20 all round but my suspension went - thatā€™ll be next time out, then.

Thanks all,

Mark

Thanks for post Mark. Never got to try various pressures as you know but itā€™s an interesting topic. Let us know what you decide on suspension as my ā€œclassicā€ set up canā€™t last forever!

Wish Iā€™d put a bit more air in for the way home, they tramline quite a lot on the road at those pressures.

Kept me awake though!

[quote=Podger]As a tyre gets hotter the pressure increases, this is due to the moisture in the air.

Statement here seems wrong to me - heat any gas and it will increase pressure irrespective of ā€œmoistureā€.
