I couldn’t live with that in my old 340 (2 rebuilds in 13k miles). Just my humble opinion, though.

hi colin, are you the guy that bought my old azure blue S1. If so how she? I ended up buying an s2 exige, much better to drive where i live but i do miss the old S1.
Hi Ollie. Yes its still going well. Haven’t used it as much as i had hoped but have some plans for it this year (I now understand why you moved to the S2 for daily use). Looking forward to trying the first modifications at Donnington.
Yeah the s2 is so much better for sitting in traffic and speed bumbs etc, but i definitely miss the character of the S1, the hunting when idling and the k-series noise when u put your foot down especially when on clear roads. good luck with the mods, maybe see you at a track day sometime.
thats my vhpd up for �1750 i just haven’t deleted the ad, i could of sold it 10 times over at that price. Im going for the supercharged Honda so it better be worth it, i couldn’t stick with 190 bhp coming from my old tt260 exige. I wouldn’t of minded having my tt260 back again though.

Why did you let it go so cheaply?
i didn’t want the hassle of holding on to it trying to sell it when its out the car just for the sake of a few hundered pound. it sold fast which is what i wanted. i have had 39 e mails for it now all from different people so there must still be a lot of interest in the vhpd engines.

Well, within 8k the engine blew - no reason given by Lotus. So, new engine under warranty. Then, 4k later yet again, this time no warranty. So, minister rebuilt it and I presume it has been ok…but this is speculation as it is in Hong Kong now.
Probably fine but I always had that nagging feeling that it would blow. And that’s just no fun.
