Supercar Sunday

Sorry I never made this, but the forecast was (and is) rain all day :frowning:

I have heard the venue did stay dry so if anyone could post some pics that would be great

Here they come:

IPhone pics so quality not too good and Iā€™m still wrestling with Photobucket.

It was possibly the biggest and best show of cars at Mitton Hall. Shame there was no sunshine. The variety was amazing from an orange Corvette to a lovely old Alvis, from Lamborghini, through Astons and Ferraris galore to Porsches and Audis. Not forgetting Pesky, Ted and me in S1s ( the rarest cars there, Iā€™d say), plus Gav ( 21 GG) in his glorious sounding blue Evora. There were two other S2s there but never found out whose they were, and not forgetting Tony Stansfieldā€™s be-winged Elise. The sausage and egg barns were of the highest quality as always as was the coffee all free but with donations accepted to a local charity.
Canā€™t imagine what the arriving wedding guests made of it . . .it was like rush hour at Hyde Park Corner as they were arriving. Must have been a shock seeing a red Capri wheel spinning out of the car park!

Sorry didnā€™t make it guys but like Tim said the weather in Cumbria this morning was wet wet wet.

Ace pics Steve.

Great pics Steve. The E Type looks really nice.

Aye, itā€™s a shame you couldnā€™t make itlads, but it would have been a miserable drive I expect. Even in the Evora

Iā€™m not fussed about using the Evora in rain. It was the possibility of being at the venue for 2 hours with Mrs and a wet Sherman that put me off. Looked like a good turn out though.

Good point, well made.

Would have been nice to have met your missus(and Sherman, of course)

Apologies for any duplication of Thommoā€™s shots:

Super pix. Peskers

Enjoys them too fellas

Nice pics Rob. Your Mrs seems to be eying something up thatā€™s unaffordable though?

Anyone thinking of going this Sunday 2nd June??

Up in Lakes this weekend, Tim, for a friendā€™s birthday party here Lake District Breaks at Cragwood|Lake District Country Hotels Do you know it?

Iā€™ve not been there before Rob, i think it is just off the Windermere - Ambleside road amongst one or two other posh venues i have been to. Looks nice :sunglasses:

Will probably pop along, Tim. Itā€™s June 1 by the way, not 2. Weather forecast a bit limited at the moment on BBC: cloud. Decide nearer the day, I think

yep im up for it as usual.
Gav

I canā€™t make it tomorrow now (surprise, surprise). Sorry folks :frowning:

weather looks good. Aiming to be there by 9.15. as it was so busy last time.

I appear to have attached a link to all my Photobucket pics but if you look at the first page that comes up you will see some of the delectable cars at Mitton Hall today.
Tim, butties are no longer free but all proceeds go to a cancer charity.
Still great quality grub and coffee. And an amazing range of cars.
Thoroughly enjoyed meeting Ted and 21GG. No idea who the Sprint belonged toā€¦ Green 190 belongs to owner of Mitton Hall, James Warburton, really nice modest bloke and a petrolhead of the first order.

Nice pics Steve and on page 5 I see your long lost avatar picture at Kirkstone Pass
