One of our other members drove my car at Anglesey, he just said the car was so much more planted and stable. I feel a better driver than me could utilise the extra downforce from the splitter and wing.
The difference I noticed was the same, the car is just not nervous or wandery anymore, it just feels safer, I am however just not going any faster, I have reached my corner speed limit
Downforce or lack of lift, only a wind tunnel will give the answer, but the car was significantly more stable than my S2 Elise through the high speed Section leading up to rocket. In a strange car, within a couple of laps I was easily travelling as fast as my own car but without really realising it! I would have soon been going faster as Ade’s brakes are also awesome, over servo’d but immense stopping power into Rocket.
Well if its anything like the 340r I had a go in on the weekend up in the highlands its worth every penny.
I was quite impressed of the front end handling of the 340rok its on nitrons and prob a good geo.but the extra weight loss on the font and splitter arrangement made it feel even more effortless and pinpoint.maybe a little oversteer but its a Honda and quite brutal.so so loud! Ears were bleeding ha ha …gearbox was stiff and very short shift and close ratio715kg and I believe 200+ bhp very lumpy at idle and the revs drop off instantly and it sounds like it has stalled…brakes i found difficult as they are not servo assit or abs, hard pedal, but could get used to it, probably better for heel and toe and left foot braking IMO, but all the same pedals are good.
