Only if you keep the roof on
Hope your car is up & running again, mate.

Thanks pete, yep it’s a massive hill! I reckon it would be very hard work getting up it. It’s probably similar to Bergwerk at the Ring, but much longer.
Yep the S2000 goes quite well, I just need bigger balls Although Jonny and I had a nice pirouette when I really went for it
Mark,
Thats some great vid!
I had not appreciated just how HILLY Spa is! Eau Rouge looks like a good hike!
Very nice driving too! Those ‘S’ 2 bobs go well eh!
Excellent vid, Mark - what great weather too!
Interesting wristwatch (surprised Pete hasn’t mentioned it too) - what is it?
Eagle eyes Mr Pesky! It’s an Omega Planet Ocean - I love it.
Sounds a great trip (despite the other dodgy drivers on track). I didn’t get the chance to go to Spa this year, so can I join in next year / trip to Spa?

Yes indeed Tom!
The driving on the whole wasn’t that bad, I don’t want to take anything away from Book a Track…Twas a good few days
… I was going to…
But it was indicating a lap time of over 4 minutes!
(Bloody battery powered Chinese stuff! )

No problem, the cloth version roof will be on
The car is ready for collection this Saturday. (thanks to Will & Adrian who helped out with a few bits). Just need a geo recheck next week and it’s ready for more track action! (when I get a day off work )

Agree with Jonny here, some people never saw any bad driving at all, the idiots at times just seemed to be driving like cocks near me, not sure what I did to deserve it
Glad the cars well Tom
Was bags of fun in Spa mate, hope to see you next year
Hello All,
Great write up! It brings all the memories back. My new found damper settings are fantastic - I thought they all bounced a bit at the back
So, the bit you all missed. The drive up to Zandvoort was soggy with some massive puddles, but amazingly the track day was fine. It’s a lovely circuit (a bit like Dijon), where you can keep the GT3’s in check.
Sadly a Belgium Elise ended up on a flat-bed having gone off on oil dropped by a Honda Type R (I think).
Thanks for getting us organised, Jon. Here’s to next year (and Zandvoort!).
Peter
(240R)
Sorry not to have been able to pop in and say hello (car is not registered yet ) - next time you set foot in my beautiful (but possibly soon separated) country, I’ll pay a few beers.
I’ll hold you to that buddy
Next year
Peter, good to see you again
Did Jonny do your dampers? Makes a massive difference eh?
So… been looking at the data logging to see if there was anything to indicate an impending problem and have come up with some interesting stats. Nothing to show potential problems looming as oil pressure isn’t logged, but enough to see why the car was feeling good. All figures are for when the car was 2 up.
Max Est Power at wheels 268 bhp fourth gear out of Stavelot
Max Est Torque at wheels 192 lbft fifth gear out of Blanchimont
Braking end of Kemmel Straight 1.2g
Peak lateral load, 1.3g
Pouhon 8 seconds at more than 1g lateral
Cool Man!!
“Did Jonny do your dampers? Makes a massive difference eh?”
Yes, after Will drove my car and confirmed my suspicions that all was not well in the damper settings, Jonny sorted them out. Made a massive difference and has given me the confidence to tinker with them at other circuits.
A great trip.
“Bloody” was mate “bloody” quick indeed! Good luck with getting it sorted Will.
Cool Peter, how did it handle at Zandvoort with those settings?
