So who got what for Xmas?

What’s your numberplate?? Is it WIN BIG??? Did you get it off a lottery winner or summat

private plate of previous owner, coming off the car asap.

Poker player?

I got one of these - guess it’s a prompt that I need to spend less time online or in the garage and more time in the kitchen:

Also got the Senna movie - ony watched the 1st disc but a little disappointed that it wasn’t as incisive or deep as I had expected. Interview with Jackie Stewart was interesting.

and a matchbox model of this:

and there’s more - got one of these - only 9.99 from Aldi. Fed up with getting tied up in knots with my mains work lamp:

I’ve always wanted a Matchbox model of those

Salomon Quest 10 ski boots  very much looking forward to trying them out, only 2 weeks to go

Gotta agree here … I have recorded various Senna news clips and documentaries over the years and the Dvd misses A LOT of the great
Stuff …
The friendship and pranks he shared with Berger were none existant in the DVD :frowning:

And if anyone,s interested in Senna,s flying career ??

He loved his flying ,both full size and models …had tuition off Mark Leavesley in Brum,(paragliding buddy) some of the family photos I’m privileged to see are priceless…

Fantastic ambassador to F1

anyone else seen the long version of senna?

Which one’s that - or do you mean the 2nd disc?

there was an unfinished cut floating around a while back that was like 3 hours +, had more arguments in it etc. Wasnt as fluffy but more interesting, although took some staying power to watch (ie long haul flight)

I’d not have been disappointed if the other item had been the real one instead!

Got the usual chocolates, socks etc, plus a few books (including a great book about Elva).

However after a long business trip to Japan I decided to treat myself so bought myself some carbon.

Mark - it’s even got a JonnyFox Imax

Looks good - what’s the spec on it?

Giant XTC Composite 1 29er.
Standard when the pic was taken but have now changed the bars for carbon riser ones and a more comfortable saddle, also weighed it and it’s 11.8kg (XL frame).

how are you getting on with the SRAM bits?

Nice Mark - what’s it like to ride ?

Steve, Not sure yet, I also have a Giant Anthem which is all Shimano and I think I prefer those, so may end up changing the shifters and deralliers.

Con, took it out a couple of times now and it’s nice to ride, getting used to having a hardtail but nice bike to ride now I’ve changed the saddle and bars to get the geometry better for me. Wanted a 29er after riding one last year at Rutland as it’s good on the quick trails, I’ll keep the anthem for the tight and twisty singletrack.

Mark - would be interested to hear your comments after you’ve had a chance to ride some more, especially as you have Shimano also.

Looking to spec up a bike for Feb/March and so keen aon any comparative feedback on SRAM.
