anyone come up with a seal solution to stop the air coming out gap around the edge of the scoop ?
I was drying my car with a leaf blower and thought i would try pointing it at the OEM scoop , loads of air comes out the gap.
Yep buy a charge cooler
And Add all that weight , no ta !
Lol yeah it works well , saves so much time , it also blows all the water out the engine bay, it is a quality 2stroke though and not a plastic B&Q job .
Come on man!!! Tell us about the SC you have fitted!!!
I am guessing a flowed head, wilder cams, etc will have given you about 20 bhp more… so you will now be up at OEM SC figures with a car 100kg lighter!
That will be quick!
Truth or dare then!
Sorry pete must have posted at the same time and missed it. So right now it’s Jim’s big bore 421 and decat, JSR fitting Kaaz gears, lighter flywheel and lots more weight gone etc. It is quick mate I really have to thank John, Wayne and Sean.

Head and map, well we shall see…lol
Excellent news! Cool.
I must say the purest in me loves the N/A route… that youtube vid of a while back clearly shows a tuned N/A beating the pants off a heavyweight SC!!! However, for everyday driving I love my SC!
So… why is it possible to fit the 2ubular 421 on an N/A car without worrying about the AFR or requiring a re-map??? I know SC cars are more prone to detonation if things are not right, but surely now that the N/A engine is flowing a lot better, the ARF’s will also have got leaner…
