Certainly something to think about with used prices going getting higher and higher
i take mine to unit 4. a lotus trained mechanic who set up on his own.
i dont know what a main dealer charges, but i doubt its what i pay for a service…i know what id do…

i think he is currently having his website updated…
he used to work for peter smith, who used to be the a lotus dealer near derby, but decided to go it alone…ive been very impressed, with work, knowledge and price.well worth a visit if its your neck of the woods…

Got directed to them when my car had a MIL issue, they came up with a suggested solution but couldn’t fix the issue straight away so I said to call me when you can book me in. Never heard from them again!
They have a good reputation though, and I’ve seen one of the guys (Tim I think his name is) at other events, he seems like a nice bloke and can certainly handle a Lotus 
Well that’s it, I’m done with trips to Main Dealers for regular servicing.
Had my annual service today, and not only was the cost ridiculous, but I couldn’t have felt more separated from the brand than I was today. The Lotus sales office wasn’t open, and all servicing enquiries were directed to the Saab office on-site, and I’m given a Fiesta courtesy car with a �500 accident damage excess (or a choice to pay for its use).
With absolutely no attempt to try and upsell to a returning ‘loyal’ customer, and no Lotus cars to poke around in the showroom whilst waiting, some dealers simply don’t help themselves sometimes. 
Indies’ for me from now on!
