S2 Exige GT3 Build

How have you fixed the splitter and the bottom of the clam Nick?

Sorry Nick, that didn’t come across right, what I meant was how have you fixed the clam at the front? I can see the aero catches on the side but not the front, I can see where they should go which is where I was going to put them. Under advice I’ve drilled some holes through the splitter and clam then bolted them both together instead. Nitron have used aero catches so just wondered how you have done it mate?

Is that a Jamssint derived roof ?
Yes - but also have a cup 260 roof. Think I prefer the former though.
Hmm … the Jamssint one is kinda more aggressive but suffers from stress cracks … destroying the look …
No offence meant at all , but just constructively adding input …

Looking good!!!

Love the concept car drawing

try some different shape end plates on the wing you have on the car, it is amazing how different it can look with a different shape. Cardboard is your friend

No probs Jonny.

I can’t exactly remember how the front is fixed tbh Ill have to have a look. I do know the front aero catches are not required, but I will be putting them in to complete the look. What we did find though is 2 aero catches at the front and 2 at the side are not really enough for a road car. Extra brackets had to be made to stop the clam rattling around, but the clam is still very much quick release.

When I complete the build thread, I will post pics of all the brackets and fabricated bits weve done.

I like the other roof not the 260, more aggressive, the bigger wing will complete the picture :sunglasses:

I found the same when I went to make my clam quick release, it didn’t feel right so used all the bolts 6 I thnk across the top under the access panels (not something you can do) and 4 across the button (not bothered with the aero catches, advice from Gav) all M6 and same head. It’s not rapid release but its pretty quick and hassle free nevertheless.

Agreed, bigger scoop looks bestIMO, even if it’s a bigger air brake.
I like the concept engine cover, not the solid one, sorry
