Noted that one of my A048’s needs replacing soon and I’ve used R1R’s before on a kit car and i thought they were superb. How do they fare on an Exige S?
Mainly road use, with 3 or so trackdays thrown in for good measure.
Also noted that they don’t sell 195/50/16 will 205/45/16 cause any issues with rubbing the bodywork?

I can’t help with the tyre quality but the size should be fine, I have 205/45’s on mine at the moment with stockish ride height and it doesn’t rub.

Reet, car is back with me next week and need tyres. I’ve tried the usual Lotus online sites and some of the main tyre supplier sites and I am getting a right mismatch of sizes and tyres.
Can anyone recommend a supplier for tyres for me?
When you say mismatch what do you mean?
Most tyres for the S2 exige are 195/50/16 and 225/45/17 some of the fronts are only available in 205/45/16 ie AD08 and R1R
just using the car search options brings back varying results for the S2 Exige, but yes your summary sizes will work. Blackcircles are looking good at £500 for Conti SC2’s
