RIP Daily and Sunday Sport
Thanks fellas for your support.
Re:Johnyfox, I was, until the last desperate reorganisation, deputy chief sub-editor of the Daily Sport.
Got to say those headlines like WW2 bomber and all really grabbed my attention years ago. I don’t read any papers these days, not one but I did used to scan the Sport front page looking for a funny headline when passing a Newspaper Stand.

And maybe a large set of babs…yummy  lol

Good luck Steve

I really wanted to say something funny about nuddy women or baps but I feel myself being more upset about Tommos job…
I’m going to get another beer.

Hey fellas, I’m thankful for your kind words and support.
With ref to Chevron’s good wishes, I have to say that I had a tremendous day out today with some Norlog members. Went to the Lakeland Motor Museum which is well worth a visit if you’re up our way.
I set course for Alston (the highest market town in England)to visit the Hartside Cafe where the Flying Scotsman Rally, for vintage machines, was stopping off. The weather was winderful at 5pm and some of the cars were amazing (Aston Martin, an Alfa lots of Bentleys).
I then re-traced their route and had one of the best drives I have ever had in the Exige to Middleton in Teesdale on the B6277 and on to Brough (home of works Lotus and Ferrari driver Cliff Allison) on the B6276.
Not a car in front of me, sweeping open bends, a few tight corners to add interest. Outstanding scenery. Then home. Life’s not too bad after all.

Sorry to hear that matey. Sounds like your keeping your chin up though
