I was so happy about his enthusiastic postings after picking up the car, I was so much feeling with him a few week ago, as I know what that means to a petrolhead.
Now this is very sad news that our young new member died in such an accident.
So sad,
Remember reading his post about his new Exige that had arrived at the dealer and photos, seemed so happy. We all know the feeling.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I have came to know Dries / AAlcHemY sometime early last year on the Beyond3d forums as an enthusiastic mate who enjoyed a lot from PC modding to games and as a fellow Lotus owner and enthusiast. He always came across as very reasonable, witty and intelligent. Sharing the same passion for cars, we regularly stayed in touch over MSN and I was looking forward to finally meeting him in person this summer once he gets his new pride and joy, a new Exige.
His death comes as a great shock.
Rest in peace AAlcHemY. You’ll be missed and not forgotten.
I’m a new bloke around here but in such a tight knit bunch of people this is just shattering news My heartfelt condolances and my thoughts go out to friends and family.
Don’t know what else to say, at the very least the poor guy got to have his dream car before he died, even if it was only for a short time… I’d wager that given that his Exige was new to him that the last few days of his life may have been the best of his life.
Geee, I’m gutted. Just have had a funeral of a friend (24 aswell) who also died in a carcrash (daytime) in Belgium after attending a carmeeting. Now this. Way too young.
