Fingers crossed that it’s just a dodgy thermostat - high running temp, but no coolant loss apparently.

I told him he should just borrow his dad’s car for Oulton tomorrow… Unfortunately, Ted said no, but only cos it may get wet on the journey to the circuit

Hi Mate! Yes… and also got home in record time as the M6 was blocked just north of JCT 18, so Southbound was clear!!! About the only bit of FRI 13th that worked out!

I would like to say A HUGE HUGE public thank you to Dave of Lamborgeni who, after I ‘failed’ the morning noise test, battled to change the back box to another that Pesky had kindly bought along (ANOTHER HUGE thank you!)… all to find out it was noisier!!!

So, that came off and the old one went on again!!! This time with assistance of Graham (Lotusgray) who had done the same a week earlier!

Back to the noise test chaps, and I ‘passed’ with 105DB!!!

(Janspeed with de-cat is TOO LOUD!!!)

I cannot thank enough all of you guys who helped me out today, Russ from Lamborgeni who started the rescue ball rolling and also showed me the best line (not my 'brown trouser grass one eh!!) around the great Oulton circuit), Dave, Pesky, Graham (Really sorry about your electrical gremlin this afternon) and many others. Beers are waiting at the next social!

Took some video, but for some reason (Fri 13th!), my ‘Oregon’ vid camera is just not giving any sort of resolution.

A great day out… off to order a quiet back box and a silenced CRP now!!!

Had a great morning until the immobiliser decided to give up, it is Friday 13th after all. Was rescued by Nigel with a immobiliser bypass plug, Top Man.

My first trackday with LOT - well impressed.

Driver etiquette was as good as I have experienced - only had 1 of my sessions red flagged - glad I wasn’t in the advanced group - lost at least 2 full sessions I think.

Suprised by the amount of non Lotus - expected a sea of Loti.

Just had my car geo’d at Top Gear Automotive in Wolverhampton - all my underseer has gone - Yippee !!

I know SELOC guys rate them but I now recommend them

Can only echo what everybody has said a good day, weather for kind (well, for some of us) with generally good etiquette.
Nice to put a few faces to on screen persona’s, namely Graham and Mr P, Rob.

Great trip home, absolutely no hold up’s whatsoever on the M6 travelling south (thanks to the accident ).

Exhaust stayed on and sounded great by all accounts.

Great day, marred by only the fact I had to re-mortgage the house to pay for my sub-standard over cooked bland food served up in the restaurant.

Packed lunch for me from now on.
