Oulton Park 30th Oct - Instruction

Thanks for being helpful with the logistics today guys, many thanks.

What a difference in my laps after spending time with Sean and Mike!!!

I am glad of all the positive feedback to a person everyone was beaming when they had finished…ok maybe Boothy wasn’t

Sean and Mike did an awesome job and I hope those that expressed further interest take that up and continue to benefit from their skills and experience.

Highlight of the day for me was sitting next to Mike, with him showing me how my car should be driven. :sunglasses: He & Randy have very similar driving styles, & they both demonstrate that I am mere beginner!

I found Mike’s instruction extremely helpful, & a very big personal thanks to Damon & DaveP for sorting it out for me - top blokes

Its hard to smile when you have just S**t your pants

Seriously, thanks Damon for sorting it out, it was fantastic and did demonstrate how my car can be driven. He even showed me I could do it. Even if I did say no once or twice

Cheers for sorting this out Damon. The session with Sean made a huge difference. Helped make the rest of the day even more enjoyable.

Yes Damon a big thanks for arranging Sean …

I learnt that 60mins is nowhere near enough … the difference was night and day …

Great to hear guys, this was a ‘sampler’ day and yes 1 hour is the absolute minimum in my opinion.

I was keen to put the day together as having spent time with the guys I knew experiencing was believing. No amount of time trying to convince on here was going to work.

A full day is the way and would recommend doing so.

My laps were a lot quicker by the end of the day.

After gaining over a good amount of time on my lap, I spoke to one of the guys who works at my tame mechanics, he wants to know how easy it is to book Sean and all his kit? He does a lot of MG owners track days so would be after hiring him for individual days for a group.

Were you guys timing?

Were they buggery!

Analysising datalogs after the event, BUT NOT publically disclosing detail is okay…at the present, so posts above, referring to margin of improvement, shouldn’t be a problem afaik?

Please, please do not discuss after the event specific/details of laptimes taken from datalogging on a public forum

Sorry - my pet rant, as anything that adds to the pressure of curtailing the trackdays I love (in addition to the growing “Green/Noise Lobby”) makes my blood boil

I suggest you ‘count to ten’ Rob!

LOL Pete, don’t worry, above didn’t get me going. Response was just a reminder, as this is an “open public forum”, not to post times etc, & not a go at my mate Jonny, who knows the score.

Have you looked at PH adverts in the last 24hrs???

Rob you are quite right…we cant cause any more probs for ourselves…

In this stupid day- and- age we can only expect further restrictions on our passion.
I for one dont fancy Scalextric track days…so keep it stum guys.
Fantastic day though…
