You also need to use the “mark topics read” button, if you do not want to go into each thread.
Threads will stay “unread” forever if you dont read them. I dont think the previous forum did that

Just sorted my avatar image, hope it has worked, Looking good with the new site.
Managed to get the site looking a little more like the previous version by going to the control panel, board preferences, and setting the style to prosilver and submit. It was already set to prosilver but doing the submit has refreshed everything and at least for me its a less dramatic change from what we had before.

Is there anyway we can enable a highlighted colour like the red we had for new threads and unread posts. I can only tell at the moment if i remember the date of the last post in a particular thread. Unless i am missing something obvious. 
And can we have the other smilies back. 
I have found that we can have a coloured notification of new posts in the other format Artodia, but that format is not very nice to use.
