Monkey Harris drives the new Exige

Ahhh I remember that day well. The track was not totally dry as we had sporadic rain showers throughout the day. And as Ben has said the power in my car was turned down ( a bit  )

He’s making some really good videos at the moment - the production values seem really high, not sure how they make any money off it but long may it continue.

They are what Top Gear should be, maybe they could have him in as an additional or guest presenter and skew the programme back a bit to be more petrolhead-orientated.

not getting the power down just means you go sideways a bit more, harris seems to do a bit of that in his videos so all good.

LOL!

Sideways? SIDEWAYS?! No Christian, what does not getting the power down make YOU do?

I think we need to see the video

I will try and make some time this afternoon to edit and publish the “choice” moments!!

Bah, its no fun just going round the track, a few 360 or 720’s thrown in livens it up a bit.

We’re still waiting…

Love all 3 od those cars, but for different reasons! Monkey scores another ultimate trackday (see his vid on the “Drive Channel” on Youtube testing the V8 Atom and Noble M600 at the Ring!!!)

Just watched this and its defo worth a look - very entertaining. Just a month ago we were there…I love Anglesey me, what a top circuit

Anyone know why he was wearing both seat belts & harness in the Porsche?

Because if you don’t wear the normal belt there is an annoying alarm telling you you’re an idiot!

So every driver has to do this?

Amazed as it’s his own car he hasn’t got that sorted yet.

Yeah, cool video.

I like his tee shirt

What is the problem with Windows Movie Maker?? I open a new project with the avi file and edit it down to just the choice segment and all is fine, it plays OK. Then as soon as I do “save as movie” all you get is a frozen picture with the sound playing away in the background?!?!?!?!?

hmmm I may be in the minority here, but while it looks great and I am sure is very very fast round track and on the road, I thought part of what makes elises, exiges, and other similar cars great was the lack of driver aids etc… You can hop in a GTR or similar if you want driver aids to make you feel like a driving god.

For lotus sake I hope this does really well, and I’d love to have a go but it doesn’t set my world on fire as much as it would with less aids. Saying that I’d no doubt get round a track a lot faster with the aids!

The aids do have an off button. This new car has a lot more grunt than ever before and with the fancy new Bosch driver aids it will appeal to a wider audience. I hope the car is a huge success!

Its not actually Monkey’s car - he’s only leasing it until he can’t afford the payments!

Harris mentioned on Twitter or somewhere that the second harnesses swing around inside the car and make a racket banging against stuff whilst filming…just easier to wear them.
