Jonny, John had problems with his ECU going in to safe mode due to high input temps on the Friday track day. After driving the car so that the ECU re learnt itself, all was looking good in the first race on Sunday. On lap 2 after making up a number of places, it went back in to safe mode again.

From the lap times it does not look like things improved in race 2 either.

Jon was looking very sporty in practice and qualifying so all the best next time

Pretty much as Harvey said

Very gutting    but will be back for Brands at the end of July

Cheers to those who came and said hi and wished me luck

Much appreciated

It was a great day. Just showws what an amazing “brand” Lotus is. From Sevens to F1 and everything in-between.McLaren, pah! Ferrari, pah!

The history of F1 shows that, in the main, people support drivers. There are two exceptions, Ferrari and Lotus. The only two TEAMS that have a fan base no matter who drives them… Or am I wrong?

Good point Mike - spot on as usual

I agree, but I do feel you can add McLaren to the list, when Lotus left I always wanted them to win regardless as to who was driving, or was it I just wanted them to beat the cheating German git

Almost certainly!

I don’t think McLaren are quite up there with the other two but they probably are next in line…

Well done Gav - a trulli brilliant drive in the first race

I’m in picture 133 to the right wearing a hoody. My girlfriend is next to me in the white Audi jacket taking a photo and my dad’s next to her wearing a Jackie Stewart flat cap. So many people ask for his autograph and he has to take his cap off to prove he’s not the real Jackie Stewart.

That really is great btw, thank you…proper good pics  I had to work all weekend at our annnual trade trade show :frowning:

I have however been invited to the Friday at Goodwood…by Enzo himself  CAN’T WAIT, next day is OP…YAY, F’ING YAY…Maybe C’mon Engerland  What a weekend as a replacement!
