With regards to the soft top leaking, mine used to leak all the time but since I had the windows adjusted I’ve had absolutely no problems what so ever.With regards to lack of speed, what lets the standard Elise down is the lack of grunt above 60mph. 60 arrives in 5.5 ish and 100 in 18 ish - so if you want to get past any modern car above 60 it’s not easy. People always say upgrade driver first, brakes, suspension and finally engine but I reckon the one thing the Elise needs is more zip over 60 - either from an engine mod or close ratio gearbox. I’ve now got 150bhp and the CRB and it makes such a difference.
