Did you order a V6 or are you waiting for the new Esprit?
I wish!
Afraid completely way out of my league, but of the two I’d personally prefer the Exige V6 even though the Esprit will be megabucks more expensive.
Fortunately, my S1 Exige satisfies everything I want from a “fun car”, & accordingly do not lust after anything else - nowadays I wouldn’t even consider a direct swap for a new GT3RS.

So based on press ‘reports’ Lotus are in the $hit again
So looky likey no S3 V6 to me - anyone got cash down ???
Chris you should have spoken to your local dealer, this is utter crap and just the sort of thing that TF at Caterham likes to hear/see;
I understand there is a huge back log of cars to be built indeed a large number of cars almost finished awaiting small items from suppliers who couldent/wouldent supply during the duediligence period.
Your local Lotus dealer can give an update to customers regarding the V6 coupe and roadster
Tim anynews on your Evora S delivery
I would have spoken to my local dealer if they could be arsed to keep me informed - I registered my interest when the V6 was first announced and was told ‘Demonstrators by November, I’ll keep you updated’ - what a load of bollocks, not a single call. Probably cause they have no clue as to when the cars will be coming.
I don’t have any inside info so only get my info through this forum or other forms of media - Pistonheads in this case.
I do ignore the usual gutter press and forums etc
I would be more than happy to see the V6 exige be successful and may even buy one providing they can produce actual cars for potential customers to drive rather than tip up at launch events with cars you can only look at.
At the moment my 70K is heading in the direction of Italy on cars I can actually see and drive
on a positive note if the Exige V6 follows the V6 Elise roadster then it should benefit from any production line mods introduced, only making it better when it does arrive

Had pretty much the same from the dealer ,absolutely nothing since the initial excitement way before Christmas , at the time the dealer wanted a deposit but I wanted to see and drive one first , to be fair I have no idea how Lotus dealers have survived over the last year with not much to sell , someone told me it was about 12 Evoras or something . If it wasn’t for trucking Italians Lotus wouldn’t be in this mess , I know someone who works at the factory and the story’s of Italians pissing Lotus up the wall you wouldn’t believe ! The new exige looks like it will be awesome , It’s a good job there’s a few left working there that know what there doing to build this with what they had in the parts bins .
Just read a great review about the new exige on pistonheads, it seems to be winning over journalists left right and centre which can only be a good thing. Massively championed by EVO iirc
Spotted this photo in the review and next to the S1 and S2 the new exige looks pretty large, or is it just the photo? I must get to my local dealer to check one out but from what i’ve seen so far in write ups etc it looks great.
Congrats to those who have put their name on the list for one
The S1 in that picture has a 450bhp Audi turbo engine in it, so if that is the finishing order, the S1 has probably done 3 more laps than the other two!!
