I hope you’ve learned your lesson young man and thou will never speak of leaving the safety of the Exiges fold ever again !!!
How anyone can say that Caterhams are FUGLY is beyond me. They are beautiful and, I think, the only thing, short of a Zonda, that I would swop my Exige for.
I love Caterhams, I just can’t drive them fast. Its far too much fun going sideways.
Not sure that I could live with one in the same way as the Exige though. If I was going open then I think I’d be heading down the 211 route.
What about a 340R?

Never been a fan of the 340R. I know its a great car but not sure why but it doesn’t do it for me. Its too ‘hot wheels’ I think.
I did !!! I would happily swap a Caterham for any of the following
- Kick in the balls
- Punch in the face
- Herpes
You get the picture
On a serious note I acknowledge the track performance etc but cannot get my head round the kit car looks - as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I confess I also love the Caterham look but as you say
beauty is in the eye of the beholder
I would love a 211 but I just could not live with wearing a lid on the road and Steph would never want to go in it…
Actually I’m off looking at pistonheads now!
340R does not do it for me really, not sure why but they are too expensive now and come fully equipped with a time bomb as standard.
[quote=Mr Pesky]imho just too fast (when they’re running!!!) for trackdays. They are without any doubt fantastic in terms of performance, but on trackdays I do think that the speed differential is just too great. Am I alone in this?

Rob - you now writing the press releases for RMA
now you are really trying hard to pick a fight…
Chris - several years ago I would have been in your camp - the cars really didn’t appeal to me and it was only after I broke a toelink on a trackday mid morning and jumping in a rental onewas the only alternative to an early bath that i reluctantly even sat in one.
I really wanted to hate it, and try as hard as I could not ignore the fact that the car was just fantastic and gave a real buzz driving it.
The things are just bullet proof and really show the essence of performance through lightweight.

Agreed, & I also like the look of the buggas
Not so long back there were na 211’s all over the shop, now there are none, only supercharger spec cars…
