Harness bar and seat belts

What about using allen, button head bolts?

The eliseparts supplied strengthener is a plate with the bolt welded to it, IIRR…

So its through the cross member then to obtain the correct angle?

So its through the cross member then to obtain the correct angle?

I think the correct angle can be achieved by either using the crossmember or the floor. I used the floor and can’t remember quite why I didn’t use the crossmember but I think there was a good reason…

  • eyebolt was not long enough; and/or
  • drilling through the crossmember brings it out in the middle of a seam/edge underneath the car

you will have to check on your car, but I think I opted for the best available option - which is definitely better than mounting to the seat!

steve, you in bullet point mode today? Doing lots of Powerpoint at work?

Ian

today I am a man of leisure…well off sick really .

Want to make sure Im well enough for Rockingham in a car with:

  • no roof
  • nodoors
  • no windscreen

OTOH, going back to the original subject, the MOG seats (which I fell in love with) have a different way of attaching: to the frame bracket:

Hmmmm… me like!

Uldis - but how do the brackets attach to the floor?

Same seat fixing points…

I’m liking them

They look sexy! Although the sweaty back may not be!

Hope you feel better steve!
