Dry in Cumbria…well, it was almost dry.
Not often we can say that. Enjoy Anglesey guys!
Right time to get the car loaded up n start heading over I think.
Dry at the hotel and lovely blue skys!
Sean is at the circuit Jody in a white Caterham garage18…go tell him he’s driving like a poof
Need to make an effort despite the weather forecast. All loaded up and ready to go. See you in the morning gents
Tony Hawk Randall tried and failed at a daring freestyle trick so unfortunately he will not be joining us.
I bought a Lambo off him for Anglesey as 25 hours back to Budapest in the 340R is enough of a wet start of ownership.
One of these may be a April 1st statement
Managed to only come across a couple of yocal Scooby nutters on the way
Sorry I’m going to miss you guys this year. There is no dignity to the reason why… I fell of my 3yo son’s scooter at the skate park and bust my hip and now I’m limping about on crutches. There is always next year!
Set off this morning but the snow on the A55 was getting worse, not better as I thought it would, so made the decision to turn back just before St. Asaph. Obviously as I headed home the roads started to clear so now wondering if I made the right decision
I left around midday as rain wasn’t letting up and my car was aquaplaning badly on the standing water. Wasn’t feeling the love
Great to meet you guys though and enjoyed the beers last night,
I’ll be back for June event
In the meantime seems someone was lucky today at PH silverstone taster Redirecting...
Another great Exiges trackday. The weather didn’t spoil my day in the 211…the faster you go the drier you stay.
It was the wettest I’ve ever driven on track and the car was brilliant, confidence inspiring and playful. I loved it.
Thank you to Benja and BaT for another enjoyable event.
How nice was that Exige Cup 430!?
Thoroughly enjoyed today, despite the rain.
Loved the track.
Nice to put some names to faces!
A great couple of days. Good craic, good curry and good cake ( thanks Martin and Gill) And I just loved the wet
weather . . . The trip home was worse than being on track, surrounded by people travelling too fast for the conditions. Aquaplaning was worse than at any point At Anglesey.
Thanks to Benja once again and to Bookatrack and the marshals
Wow what a great day!.. if alittle wet!
Thanks for organising, it’s already on the cylinder for next year!
Great to meet new faces (even if I struggle to remember names!)
Great night at the bull last night to, and hope I didn’t wake anybody early as we set off for the track!
Jody
Great to meet you all over the bank holiday, despite the pouring rain I really enjoyed trackday. I had a few moments, but it was great to be on track with like-minded people who respected each others space & speed.
Thanks to Ben for organising & getting me on the day.
Special thanks to the guys who stayed over at the bull on Sunday, you all really made me feel welcome and had some great chats over a pint of two.
Similar to thommo I had a horrendous drive home! But it was worth it!
Cheers all & see you at the next one!
Oli
Oops, a special mention to Pierre and pal for making their epic trek, particularly for my new Hungarian friend whose face when he got out of AndyD’s car was a picture - pure enjoyment tinged with wide-eyed amazement.
Well done Ben & BaT. Really enjoyable couple of days and as always great to meet old friends and make new. There never seems to be the time to properly catch up on the day. Big thanks to everyone who made it possible including Oakmere, Hoffman’s & Matt from Pistonheads. Another great effort by Pierre. Those who couldn’t make it Randy, Dave etc another time I’m sure
And a last big shout out to Anglesey, wonderful circuit and superb marshals.
Jonny
Ben and BaT. Thanks from me as well though I only made it there on Sunday it was good to meet the Ferrets. Sunday was such a good day but I expect the ferrets enjoyed being otters on the Monday.
Probably best not to mention that Sunday was dry all day and the biggest problem was getting lonely on the track.
Anyone got a race logic data file you can send my way so I can compare lines/braking with mine? My logger shows that I am very consistent with lines, braking and accel but that may mean I am consistently wrong. Ideally a log from a 120hp Caterham Academy.
Next BaT day for me is Croft on the 5th of May. CBA to go to Silverstone.
