I paid 21k for mine six and half years ago and its worth more than that now. If memory serves me I might have spent a bit of money on it in that period though
The way I look at it, all of the things that could come close as a replacement are so expensive that if I could afford one them I could afford to keep the Exige as well. I’m firmly in the keeper camp.
Yep mine will never be up for sale either - bought over 8 years ago for 25k (2k miles on the clock), 68k miles on, never a dull moment
I bought mine 2 years ago or so for 16.5k and 30k miles. drove it for 5 days and its been in rebuilt stage since
I decided to do something similar to george but i could not bother with fixing chassis corrosion and scratches so I ordered a new chassis.
Im in the process of rebuilding my engine whilst waiting for my chassis to be complete. Should be as new as im ever likely to get my eyes on.
I know they should be driven but im not going to sell it so i figured, fix it once and do it well.
One word of caution for those that end up changing chassis for whatever reason. Lotus don’t have the rear bulkhead molds anymore so you have to supply your own bulkhead which is a PITA to remove without damage. I managed to take it off reasonably well and made a mold just in case.

So what is the going values for S1 Exige’s with Audi or Honda conversions?
Massivly spec and condition dependant so virtually impossible to give a general value

On the subject of value, I’ve been trying to get my insurer to give me a guaranteed value on my chassis #001 (did I ever mention I had it ) (not that you can actually replace it), but the insurer won’t agree to a value unless I can get a dealer or an official club to give me a value.
I enquired and Hexham Horseless wouldn’t give me a value, and there’s no official Exige club is there.
They usually mean a valuation from someone like Club Lotus. Whether you would get an accurate valuation is debateable

Have you asked WillB?
I assume this is indicative of values ? Used cars for sale | PistonHeads UK
