i sold it recently to a young gemtleman in scotland, after owning 5 lotus’s what happened recently really upset me, so i dont think i will own another. bit sad really as i look at my lotus pictures, dvd’s and drink from my lotus cup. i have purchased an mnr vortx kit and am fitting a ZZR1400 engine. so kind of lotus’ish. thanks for the interest

Sorry to read of your feeling toward Lotus. Was it the last car specifically (ownership experience) or something else?
I only ask as a Lotus nut, who coulndnt possibly consider abandoning the brand.

Jeff is the guy in Newcastle (Motorcycle dealer), who had his Exige S1 for sale at a real bargain price (�15000 I think). He was a “little unhappy” with some of the comments made here about the car, & things got somewhat heated - but difficult to know in the end, if it was all in jest or not
I think that about sums it up, but no doubt Jeff will comment if appropriate.

I thought that was the case, hence my post. It does seem a shame that a few remarks (especially ones from here) could ruin the ownership experience of the car (any Lotus). Maybe there’s more to it??
