Youve been robbed…lol!

Its only 49.99 in the Argos in Newcastle!!!

It did not really die but when U do all the figures the unit price comes out at best part of 50 for an unpainted white metal kit 1:43 scale then YOU have to do the paint job . this is amortising the tooling over 150 units.
So I did not think it was really viable in the very small nos involved…
comments …rude or otherwise welcome.
Dont forget Mr Proton will want his royalty too…
So the argos item looks a good deal…in fact I’m off to buy one.

I’d still have one, as that’s about normal for a white metal kit.

i’d still have one

Not too sure that Mr Proton can do anything about you having a model of something that you own. If I went into my workshop now and knocked out a perfect 1/43 scale model of my car then that is my choice and my right. (as a guideline here, if you write a book or article about Lotus (or any other make of) cars you can illustrate it with as many photos of cars, even close ups of badges on cars, as you want but as soon as you put a graphic of the Lotus badge on the cover they’ll be after you…you have every right to expose and use what is lawfully yours. In any case, if Lotus hadn’t been such pr**ts over roylaties with a well known model manufacturer we’d all have several models now so they don’t deserve any royalties - they have no idea how to keep the customer happy)END OF RANT

Several personal commissions from us lot to the model maker should keep Proton/Lotus firmly out of the loop.

And I’d still have one at 50…in fact I’ll have two.

Let’s do it.

I’d have one at 50. Quite like the thought of painting it myself otherwise we’d all argue about colour anyway.

Might need 2 as I’m bound to mess it up…

How big is 1:43? I’m keen but will find it hard to justify 50 notes for something 2cm long.

Ian

My 1:43 elise models are approx 8cm long.

Interesting comments…
I once marketed pin badges of several Loti and the lawers at Lotus came down on me like a ton of shite!!!
So I am cautious.to say the least.
I think Private circulation may be OK.
Will persue the project

Can’t find the post but a while ago someone was looking for an r/c model.

About the best S1 Exige model is for sale now HERE

It’s big but a decent model. PM me if you need help contacting the seller.

That looks desirable but expensive
If you are into 1/10 scale Tamiya I am working on a similar project BUT the shells are no longer made But I may be able to help.
