Just had the boost pipes on the scales!!
Original sand cast ones are just over 2 Kgs!!!
Pro-Alloy ones are an amazing 705grams.
Over 1.3 Kgs lighter and all from high up above the engine!!
An added bonus is the I/D is 2mm bigger at 59mm on the Pro-Alloy tubes and they are smooth bore not sand cast.
So should also aid engine breathing a little…
Anyone fancy a Forge intercooler/Pro-alloy boost pipe combo???
I honestly dont understand why proally used two hard 90seg bends on one side. I know a little about pipe flow as I use it in my day to day work and a hard 90 is a much greater restriction than a radius like the OEM and RLS ones
I think they have to have some of their wonderful welding on everything they make I do suspect it will make little to no difference as the air is bieng pushed through
