Elvington (York) Sat 2nd Feb

Hi, new to board - well Elvington was a great day out - however I just couldn’t keep up with those two Exiges [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image] (sorry Elise drivers)Think Exige is back on the list of Honda replacementsBTW Highly recommend Elvington, one of the best trackday setups I’ve been to- MASSIVE run off, petrol station 500 metres from track and the best food I’ve had in the little pub in elvington village (forgot name but it’s first one you come across on your left in the village).Oh and a couple of friendly Exige drivers![This message has been edited by Hoganscrogan (edited 03 February 2002).]

Nice meeting you mate. My dad (Blue Exige) says hello.

Glad my spotty youngster has picked up (& remembered) all those tips from the master [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]Hoganscrogan, hope I didn’t scare you too much whilst piroeting on the exit of “that” particular corner [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

(and the track was dry !) [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image][This message has been edited by Admin5 (edited 03 February 2002).]

It was good to meet Steve at last, yesterday. He’s actually a top bloke (for a Yorkshireman), even though he’s not at all modest about his “pulling tackle” [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] Steve had brought along his new brake disks/bells, & they certainly looked the business [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image] I, for one, look forward to his report on their effectiveness etc. once they are fitted & bedded in.It was also a smashing surprise to see Brannan & kids, at Elvington for an hour or so in mid-afternoon [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

I found after lunch that I had this much tread (below) left on the tyres… (almost as bald as Pesky…) and THEN i started to chuck it down with rain… which I thought would ruin things. Did I stop ?
