Donnington Noisy Day 27th August - Bookatrack

Oh dear really sorry to hear that - you can go but find out the day before the car is bust and I can’t go and find out the day before that the car is done and more than healthy.

I’m sure you’ll find someone to fix it up before Spa, if there is no room at the inn in Quorn then JSRacing naturally come highly recommended.

You’ll be back in the saddle before you know it and all the pain will be forgotten.

I know a man who is expert in K series head gaskets etc. Very well priced to. Drop me a PM if you are interested. PS he is in Southend!

Also Clive if you need it moving any distance I’ve used a guy who is excellent and will always try and give you a good price if he can fit it in around other vehicle movements.

They’re out there now hooning around Donington and I’m between meetings :frowning:

and its sunny :frowning:

bet their not enjoying it though matey :tired:

It was total crap - it didn’t rain, less than 40 cars on track, only 1 red flag (5 min delay), loads of boring cars out on track (including 2, yes 2 ORIGINAL Fezza 250s worth 5M+ each). Fortunately, we Exigers mainly sat around talking about crochet, & reading this week’s edition of Peoples Friend.

However, if pushed, I’d have to admit it was one of the best days I’ve done at Donny.

Both the 250s were owned by the JCB family. This is one them - gave it a bloody wide berth whilst overtaking it!

This is t’other one which was out today:

Crochet & Peoples’s Friend were about all we could manage…

Fan-bloody-tastic day, some great cars (and this couple of fantastic ones) and the usual cheery banter - and I got Mrs markph to buy the chinese and the beer!!!

Really glad you had a great day but also insanely jealous…you’ve no idea how much I would have traded my day of corporate tedium for a day at Donny.

Yeah had a great day today!!!

Weather was great, everyone’s cars ran well, hardly anyone on track, it was mint.

A bit of a war wound on my car as I now have a crack in my exhaust manifold that made itself known running full boost when the exhaust got hot. Didn’t stop me doing about 100 litres of fuel though as I just turned the boost down a bit.

Highlight for me was running with three slick shod Radicals and pulling away down the straights, there was one in front of me and two behind, the one in front wouldn’t let me past, and the ones behind me, couldn’t get past. I managed to hold them off for about three laps, until i totally cooked the tyres as I was trying to brake in the same places they did and it just wasn’t really happening, then the manifold got hot and my crack opened up and that was that. Awesome few laps though.
