Donington Sunday 10th October

It seems like Ian has transferred his bad luck to me ! What with the shaft snapping at Outlon and then a wheel bearing yesterday - but c’est la vie as they say.

Ref choice modification, I did spend yesterday after I got home pricing a few parts up

Looks like uncle martin could be busy again !

Interesting…was it the same side wheel bearing as the shaft that went ?

Eek…that doesn’t make good reading…What happened Con ?
Just a rear wheel bearing - obviously the meatier bearings in a motorsport rear upright would go some way to mitigating it happening again…and if you’ve gone as far as doing that then you may as well put the front calipers on the back etc etc
Another !

This is becoming the next peice of the puzzle that fails, unfortunately its usually the crap cheese, or badly toleranced cheese drive flanges that create the problem.

Im on, I think my 5th set …

There is only 1 solution - talk to Martin/Steve and JSR >>>

Yep ! Tend to agree Mr D

Are you running the harder drive flanges Con ?

Worth doing I think… I run them on my car.

No - just standard Dave - but thinking of changing them, as the plan is the 4 pot front, 2 pot rear with motorsport uprights etc.

I’m NOT listening, tosser!

Sorry I realise now I should have used an alternator turn of phrase

Cruel yet funny…

:astonished:

Glad you had a good one guys, I was gutted to have missed it.

But I am sure you had a great day at the wedding mate!

Yeah it was a good day actually

Wedding cake with gravy?

After a thoroughly good day at not more than 6500 revs (truely officer)easing in my new K got home to find significant oil leak from bellhousing,??crankshaft oil seal failure after 800 miles??? PLUS oil consumption as bad as before rebuild …
anybody else suffered after a full engine upgrade??

I know what you will say but spare me the blushes

Clive thats NOoooooo good man!

I am sure you have already done so… but give DVA a call!

Hope your crank is not stretched… did you get it balanced by vibration free as part of the re-build?
