Differences in engine aspiration?

LSD’s do have their advantages, I have no problem with them and in many cars you wouldn’t want to run without one. They shouldn’t be used to mask a different problem though.

Just to illustrate my point… an LSD is NOT the answer to this: [image]http://users.anytimenow.com/cnrandall/gallery/3wheels.jpg[/image]

What are you trying to say about my waistline Mark

I just thought you were trying to get a performance advantage

pie and lager for lunch then

Let the race begin! bucket of lard and 2 litres of coke for me please guv!

Waistline more like a Coastline

speak for yourself

Couple of bags of cement in the boot might help to!!

Sean…

Is that so you can lay a new driveway once your engine has spilt it’s guts

So, analysis time Randy.

That guy needs to:

-use a different line that lets him get on the throttle earlier?
-use stiffer front springs?
-use less preload on rear springs?
-go harder on the ARB?
-not lift off on corners?

More spring rate and adjust damping rates accordingly and bigger front ARB. Ideally you want to lift a front wheel and not a rear. This is because lifting a rear looses you traction and lifting a front is a good thing because when both fronts are on the ground they fight one another because of the bad bump steer characteristics.

But for me an “obvious” observation would be that the guy is not accelerating at the time, probably at neutral throttle or having lifted off (front pitched in)

A different line that helped him accelerate sooner would have helped, no?

Like a Lotus doesn’t have enough weight at the back already!!!

Couldn’t comment from a picture. Whatever he is doing wrong the car shouldn’t behave like that though. Driving around faults in a car is not a good thing and will just force you into bad habbits, it’s important to learn to understand what is wrong with a car and address it so the car does what you want it to.

Agree, next car I won’t buy an LSD, will buy better shocks instead.
