comprehensive spares package was part of the overall deal…enough to keep me racing for a while.
i visited the factory in October and was fully briefed on the car by all the people involved in developing and running it for the cadena team. great bunch of guys, very enthusiastic and extremely helpful. i know we have all probably something to say about dealing with Lotus dealers etc, but i can’t speak highly enough about the team at Lotus Sport… they have always been just a phonecall or email away and have made it very clear that they will continue to do so. even tuning issues just need an email of data to the right person and a fix emailed back to me. can’t ask for more than that, and wouldn’t get it from the Porsche or Ferrari factories i’m sure. comforting given that i’m on the other side of the world.
i actually bought the car from Cadena and not Lotus, so theoretically i can sell it on, but seeing that this is a special car (especially being chassis 001) i’m likely to keep it for a very long time.
I like the S1 Exige more than the S2 - it just looks better to me. However, since I live in California, U.S., the only way I’m bringing in an S1 is if I hit the lotto jackpot and can afford an extra track toy in addition to the sports car I wish to have for a daily driver.
I apparently would like an Elise more than an S2 because I don’t like the little engine roof thingy - I think the Elise looks sportier with it’s rear window - but I’d love to have an S1 over all. Sorry if my tastes don’t meet your “standards”.
Fair enough - but let the record show that I would like an S1 Exige above all loti - but the state in the U.S… that I call home isn’t very accomodating to that wish.
