B&C have confirmed the clocks cannot be set to my present mileage but as long as the information is recorded in the service book there is no issue with the MOT.
Glad that’s all sorted then. Though you could have waited a bit longer so the usual round-the-houses, off-topic and otherwise random exiges.com conversation could have been indulged
My S2 clocks jumped forwards 40k miles on the customers test drive when i sold it.
Talk about bad timing. !
He still bought it tho and i agreed to knock the cost of the new clocks off the price.
It’s a case of TADT’s Jonny…
I know, what boring thread
There’s a bloke on the common near me reckons he has the right kit to get the mileage you want - just needs the Stack and your wheel speed sensor…you will have to be patient though it’s not a 5 minute job.
Needs a carbon chain guard & a 25/100-26 A048 on the front…LTS compound, naturally!
Interesting rear subframe…
For continuous recorded history i’d agree with Gav. Far better to document the mileage of the restoration and engine swap and leave the clock well alone. this will authenticate the continued mileage of the car and be a better selling point if and when that may happen.
When I totally restored my Europa T/C the clock/mileage was not adjusted.
Can certainly organise some car parking on one of their open days if you turn up in your Exige, they love that kind of thing.
It is a great experience going and looking around and able to get so close to some amazing cars.
Rather than start a new thread and as purchasing s cluster has been mentioned. Is there a clear way to tell between S1 stack units for an Exige and Elise?
Pretty sure there is a sticker on the back with a part number. Have a look at deroure for which is which.
For quick reference:
A111N0001F = Elise mph
A111N0002F = Elise kph
A111N0005F = Exige mph
A111N0006F = Exige kph
Cool thanks!
Spoke to my mate again, he will let me know when the next open days is, he can organise us a parking area. Anyone with enough money can of course go any time for a private viewing
Top man Ade, think my car will be on the road around May/June and would love a look around.
Sounds good, when I know a date, I’ll start a thread.
