I thought on the AC cars that there is a solenoid operated valve that closes off the circulation through the heater circuit when the AC button is pushed?. There is some kind of valve in the coolant pipe on the drivers side as the pipe enters the sill.
Its possible - but expensive as it will be a custom install.
Got my air-con working by fitting a valve to cut off hot water to heater box and always using recirculation so youre cooling air which is already cooled.
I made one up fella but still not fitted it

I think there should be a valve to shut off hot water with air-con switched on but both my hot water pipes still hot so thats why I fitted a valve I could turn on and off.
Where did you fit the isolation valve to, was it on the pipe that comes out of the passenger side sill and goes into Ali pipe up to the recirculate pump?

My advice (with the original stat) is to use a 3 way valve and a bypass to keep the same flow through the heater circuit…
