Bought the missus a new car...

Great little cars , my ex GF had a white Cup Clio and it was ace fun to drive .
A Mate has just taken delivery of his Clio Cup racer from Pyro.

Paid just a tad under £12k for a 2011 car with 8k on the clock.

Don’t get me wrong, there are lots of different cars for circa £10k with a lot more gadgets and toys but for pure fun the 200 Cup is a winner. It really depends on what your individual needs are…

Get your missus to set you a challenge to find her a new car - it’s good fun!

Very nice moomin. It looks like he’s parked it in his dining room!

What’s the roof scoop for? Just for airing inside?

We are in the market for a spare set of wheels if your mate has any…

I should add moomin… Or if your mate knows where I can get any wheels from the race series… The race car wheels have magnesium content I’m led to believe and are 8j as opposed to 7.5j for the road

Tried that game but what I like and what she likes are quite different! Her budget is about £10k, economy is important so probably looking at a diesel. I/she likes something quirky, a bit different. If not something that looks classy. I suggested:

  • Mini Clubman
  • Volvo C30 R Design
  • Honda CRZ Hybrid
  • Merc CLC Class

Apart from the Mini she has said no to all as she wants 4/5 doors for some reason :unamused: She either wants a Nissan Juke (although the Tekna with leather is pushing her budget) an Alfa Giueletta (sp?) BMW 1 Series or the Mini.

Thanks mate, much appreciated

I thought they were just the optional speedlines? i have those on mine. Still 17" rather than the later 18" which to me look to big for the car. Would be very surprised if there were different versions just for the race series.

I’ve just spent a while on google and the cup racer wheels are different. 8j not 7.5j like the road cup and the cup racer magnesium wheels are not TUV certified for road use, apparently they can crack and bend easily

Found the same, interesting.

Wheels: Speedline 8" x 17" one-piece aluminium/magnesium alloy wheels
Tyres: Michelin 20/62-17, S9B (slick) and P2C (wet)
