Continental Sport Contact 2s work well for me but unfortunately I’ve never driven my car on its Yokos, saying that I’ve only had it 8 months and its been off the road for 3 of them?!
The previous owner fitted Contis because Silverstone race school were using them. That probably doesn’t mean much though…
Myself and another of the scottish exigers are running A039s and I have to say they are awesome - had them on since start of december and they are spot on in the wet. In the dry we have had they feel the same to me on the road as the 48s. I am sure this is different on track, but great for the road.
I was running BF Goodrich (Michelin value brand) G-Force Profilers on my recent S2 (K-Series), although I could not get the fronts in the 195/50/16 size I put 195/45/16 on the front and it didn’t affect the cars handling or grip so as I noticed. They ran well in the dry at Cadwell and in the very very wet at the Nyloc day at Croft in September, a great improvement over the three year old Bridgestones!
I never knew that! Always thought they were as American as apple pie. Used BF Goodrich on the 4x4 and always thought they were a premium brand. The prices have never been cheap.
