Day cancelled due to ice on the circuit but only after everyone was told to turn up on the day as the circuit were very positive it would definitely go ahead!

Can’t see how organiser can be at fault when the temperatures are -10 ish overnight. Calling off early is almost as inconvieniant, and gauranteed to not get a refund from MSVR for cancelled day when they say all is good.
Agree organiser is in a spot if circuit say it will be OK.
Less sympathetic towards MSV who knew what the conditions were going to be (and if anything they turned out to be better) and failed to get the circuit open. Oulton can be very slippery on even the mildest of winter days with the trees blocking the low sun from the tarmac at key parts.
Yeah, how can BAT be blamed if the Circuit say it will be okay - contractual terms spring to mind!

To be fair to BAT they did send plenty of email updates in the lead up.
Based on these I decided not to risk it as Oulton is risky at the best of times. This coupled with the fact that my driveway looks like the cresta run 
Just had it pointed out to me that MSV have a message on their website dated Thursday Thursday, February 09 2012:
“This weekend’s trackdays at Cadwell Park (11 & 12 February) have been cancelled due to the continuing adverse weather conditions. Those booked for the days or intending to visit the circuit are advised not to travel as the venue will be closed.”
