anyone selling up soon?!?!

my budget is a strict 20k so not goin to let myself go over it.

would 20k get me your car mr admin??its definatly one i’m very interested in

jj…yeah i know…been looking for so long…just glad to finally be in a position to get one…i’ve been pffered a titanium grey one by a guy who goes to KH…it has a 2ltr scholor engine…shug reckons its the one i should go for.
but like you say…you’re the only grey in the village

i know i probably shouldve waited to post this but i’m currently extremely bored working offshore therefore i thought i’d see what was out there.

jj…any chance i could have a wee look about your car one day? take me out for a spin and mayeb give me a few pointers

Hope you are well read on the merits/demerits of Scholar engines!

where you working?

Good luck finding the right one.

As other’s have said i wouldn’t worry about the A/C it rarely works and the dash modification is pretty ugly.

I recently replaced my car, i looked at Mr Bean’s, and it’s a great example, i chose a different car as i was keen on the motorsport seats and harnesses and adding them added a cost that just swung me away, but I’ve had to spend a few evenings removing all the A/C from the car i bought.

The 190 pack is something you can add quite easily, so i wouldn’t be too worried about the car coming with one.

I’d look more for one that’s been properly cared for. The suspension needs to have been looked after, worn bushes, links and wheel bearings are common, so look for a seller who understands that has kept on top of it. And we all know about the ‘character’ of the VHPD and the care it needs.

Of the ones about at the moment, Mr Bean’s is definately worth serious consideration…

TBH i’d prefer to have the standard engine…its the way it was intended!

i’m currently on the sedco 711 in the north sea.
we had 90mph winds last week but its been lovely out here the past few days
finish in a week then heading up to invergordon for a job on the 6th of december

cheers for that dral…give me a couple more things to think about

TBH i’d prefer to have the standard engine…its the way

Just to be pedantic, it was intended to be 190bhp. It was “detuned” to 177bhp to get it through the SVA (they were all SVA’d, not “Type Approved”).

However, whichever you finally buy, ditch the Lotus ECU & fit an Emerald with vernier pulleys, & get it properly mapped - “night & day”

noted mr P…thanks

I do like that last exige, would be an ideal racer for lot next year

Yeah, would need a colour change, red looks so drab on the track.

i really need to get an exige before you boys buy up the remaining ones then turn them into fully fledged racers!!!

Actually guy’s, It’s my car he’s been sniffing about, it’s only a 1.9 Scholar engine and to be fair it’s great, tick’s all the boxes. He has been sniffing about since July, and to be fair I think he talks a good game, who know’s, anyway, I decided to keep the car. I would like to know how he found out that I was gay ???

i never said you were gay!!!

private joke between me and JJ

i’ve never slagged off your car or said i was defo goin to buy it.
i did say i was interested however if you got any offers on the car then feel free to sell to whoever you wish to.

sorry i misquoted your engine size,i obviously dont talk as good a game as you seem to think

sorry that you seem to feel hard done by.

i think your car is great and yes it probably does tick a lot of the boxes i want but i wanted to see what was on the market…i’ve been dreaming of this car for a long time and i’m determined to find the best one i can possibly buy.

in the mean time please dry your eyes and if you have a problem feel free to speak to me at knockhill or wherever

Deano,
Having never met you, your quest for a S1 Exige has been mental. I think I’ve had 3 Lotus’s in the time you first starting looking. I fear your expectations will be too high finding the correct colour, number of owners, number of trackdays, spec with what’s out there in the real world. After all, there’s not many left.

yeah G but you’re a car whore

yeah its taken me a while but i’ll get there.
i had a few work/home related problems that seriously slowed down my progress but (touch wood) these are in the past.

i’m hopefully goin to be viewing a car in the near future…and i was emailed about another very nice one this morning.

good things come to those who wait!

are you not due a car change soon??

Is that a lot, Steve?

Can do that in a couple of weeks when I’m in the mood

Taking mine all the way to Henley this Friday so don’t scoff.

Someone at work who regularly drives in in a roofless S1 Elise was surprised to see it the other day. he thought it would be all wrapped up for winter…must have been speaking with you!!!
