Any old farts around here?

How long you there Jonny? I’m in town from 3rd.

A legend returns! No other Exige has taken on a muck spreader and won!

Great to hear from you! (your last post was Jan '07!!!)

Ian

guys… its great to get all your replies, and that you still remember me…

So many folks still around as well… including a Scottish Elise’r  who also remembers me LOL… Hi Ali

I still have my car - of course ! - and its still 100% original and still running well… although at the moment it has some play in the steering rack so missed its last MOT as i intended to get it sorted before presenting it, but haven’t got round to it yet… so i should probably just take it in and see what happens…

Anyway, lots and lots has happened since 2007!! and i haven’t done a track-day since 2008… stuff kinda got in the way of me and time just flies past… esp as you get older…

Anyway, i’ll try and keep-up…

Slinte mhath!

Good man & keep posting

kids on hols this week and me babysittin…

about to start proceedings to replace steering rack in the yellow peril… so whats the best way forward these days guys?

replace like for like ? - what are the supply options these days?
is there a recommended upgrade path?

I have had 2 racks replaced in past but always just done at Lotus Dealer, so i know this is an option but in true S1 stylee… i’m up for a mod

hope you are all well

Hi Rox, how are you doing. Bumped into Mike up at Knockhill a couple of weeks ago, we were both wondering if you were still around. Glad to hear you’ve still got the car. Sorry can’t help with the steering rack question though

Dave

Hi Rox good to hear you still have the yellow peril

You can get the rack refurbed at the original manufacturer - details from 2 years ago:

Titan: Stuart Rossin @ www.titan-motorsport.com (Harley Industrial Park, Paxton Hill, St Neots, Cambs, PE19 6TA) 35ph labour + parts

Titan also manufacture a high ratio steering rack - fine for track use IMO but it can be a bit wearing on the open road.

Actual removal/refitting isn’t too bad a job

Cheers
