Aftermarket Supercharged Elise-Exige

Yah had to , Lotus won’t sell us the proper parts so we have to make our own…got another 7 rwhp on Fri. Now up 65 rwhp from stock…more tricks up the old sleve…

Yo have any of you guys called Tri-Point about their Supercharger set up yet…I just put on another 235 mi. in 103deg heat through canyon and mountain roads as hard as any track day you can think of…Full on the entire day this thing rocks…Don’t you guys want boost or what?..
225 at the wheels = 260+ at the crank…are there no canyons or mountains over there…or do you just wait for a track day?

When you have a kit that can be installed on a 2006 (drive-by-wire) let me know…

…are there no canyons or mountains over there…or do you just wait for a track day?

Hi Frank, we’re not lucky enough to have roads like you find in California. If you drive like you’re on a track day on our roads, you’ll quite promptly die. So we generally save it for track days and racing

Sorry to hear that…Then how the hell did you guys come up with my old RS200E and MG Metro 6R4…Ya gotta say road trip…Track only is such a waste of a great Lancia Stratos tarmac spec. replacement…

Spoke to Lotus technical director at Brands Hatch a couple of weeks ago. He stated that Lotus Motorsport will convert any an exige to full 240 cup car. Said it would be cheaper than trading in my car (a n/a exige, taking a big hit on depreciation) and getting a new 240 cup car. They will give you a fixed quote to do the work and he said as they have now converted so many cars to cup spec it is quite a quick job.
Any takers??

I know the price and it aint cheap!

Hmmm, think ill get a new car then or a 240R if i can find one.

how can lotus say it would be cheaper to build one

11.5k just for the engine alone
then you have LSD, Olins, Seats, oilcoolers, aucustump, harness, seats etc total must be 20k+ to convert a standard exige

i know of a dealer cup 240 going for 39k with less than 2000 miles on the clock
