My mates a pilot for BA, he used to fly 75’s and 76’s but now he’s on 777’s.
Reading this thread now reminds me of going for a beer with him
I am scared to death of flying and listen to every little noise whilst shitting my pants for four hours. On our last flight from taking off all the way up to cruising the plane made a constant thrum thrum thrum whilst vibrating in time. I was quite sure I was about to die, however after another beer with Matt I am asured this was due to the engines being slightly out of time causing a resonance. Either that or he’s trying to make me feel better about the fact the Jet2 shed was falling to bits
I flew from Chambery last year and just before take off the captain said
“we’ll be using full power on take off” I thought hello never heard that before better make sure my belts tight, it definitely was a bit more violent on the acceleration front
