Not a rumour mate, it was actually built at Pilbeam - but under the watchful eye/approval of Lotus. Don’t forget that the “only” named “buyer” is connected with Proton.
It is rumoured that Lotus didnt even make this car!
They didn’t…
Correction to my earlier post - it was built by Race Tecnologies Norfolk (subsid of Audi!), & the suspension was developed by Pilbeam. Either way, it wasn’t made by Lotus.
Some fab photos Here
Darn that thing is sexy!
The grooves on the rear disk are…er…groovy! Haven’t seen them before.

Stunning pictures again but what a cracking website.
There will be no work done again today.

Ooops, caught in the act again.
Great site. The phones are not being answered, no ones doing anything in the office right now except going wow look at that! or I remember that car or always wanted one of them.

It doesn’t surprise me that RTN built this. RTN boasts a few ex Team Lotus personnel among its talented staff and RTN, (with its VW/Audi connections) also built the Le Mans Bentleys…AFAIK

Sorry to go on about thie 300k price tag of this car but just to get some perspective on it here is a pic of a Mansell 92 JPS that my old man owned and raced, he sold it for 300k. [image]www.geocites.com/jc_dowling/mansell/lotus/83mon1.jpg[/image]
