Lol MarkyB drove to Spa at the weekend, he followed me in my wifes Q7…lol trailering my baby He was deaf by the time we got there

Wasn’t there something about buying the later model and not one of the first, can’t think but saw or read a report somewhere, handling reason I think
Chaps
I love the looks of the V6, but have never been in one. They do have a great “road presence” . But, as Jonny says, the MK1 had a reputation for crap handling - this was supposed to have been sorted in the MK2 (255 bhp) version.
Trouble is, the Exige is a hard act to follow!

We`ll not mention your post on SE today about trailer hire then?
My bro used to have a mk1 clio v6 which I drove a fair bit. At the time I had an S2 Exige.
It sounded good when you were in it, and the ride didnt feel like a clio. But that was about it. It handled badly, it wasnt that fast, and it felt really, really, heavy. It looked pretty wide on the road, but most folk just thought it was a chavved up clio (which I guess it is , but you know what I mean) He sold it and bought a 226bhp clio172 which was quicker and handled waaaay better. He has an s1 exige now, i`ll point him this way if you are really considering a clio v6.

Sorry for off topic, but my wife too drives a Q7 and Audi told us it is not possible to fit a hook to it due to the fact we have the Open Sky option. I simply hate that… Bloody Audi !!
Sorry, had to tell my frustration.

Aye, Rupert Murdoch has a lot to answer for

Who says I was bad mouthing him? I rather enjoy my Sky channels (esp Motors TV), & have done for many years
However, I’m actually a Virgin Media subscriber as I use their cable broadband
Now, young sir, I may well be “in the market” next year, so we’ll have to have a tete a tete

NP - if there are any non-believers out there that have seen the light and want Sky, or anyone who has it but wants to upgrade to HD drop me a pm as I can help.
Not sure if its correct or not, but I heard if you put in an HD box you can get some free to air HD channels without paying the upgrade subscription, is that right?
I’ll pull the Sky card out as soon as Fee’s finished watching Vantage Point (the new one )
Max I guess I can see why but have you thought about doing it anyhow, mine was a retro fit albeit an Audi removable tow eye. I use a twin axel trailer and it tows like there’s nothing there.

I suppose I should quote the official line,…ahem I quote “Luxe TV HD, Channel 4 HD and BBC HD are available without any subscriptions. Channel 4 HD requires a valid viewing card”.
