Re: Throttle travel - seeking 100% !!!

Thanks for that guys. I will look into it a little further. That said I do wonder if it is a limitation of the OBD reader that I have which isn't detecting a small throttle movement from idle. I say this as I pressed the accelerator really gently to pick up the the revs by 300/400rpm (which is recog...

Throttle travel - seeking 100% !!!

I've been tinkering with the Lotus over the last few days and with the kind assistance of Klaus now have nicely balanced throttle bodies having replaced the adjustable balance screw for a longer one and tensioned with a spring. Disconnected the IACV, adjusted the idle then the new balancing screw an...

Re: Air intake hose

Yep one of many projects during lockdown, I now have the air filter located at the air scoop end away from the airbox and now directed towards the air intake courtesy of good advice on here and thanks to cable ties. That and sorting a loose throttle linkage in the pedal box has produced some most we...

Air intake hose

Folks

Interested to know any tips for setting up the the air intake pipe so that it's directed as close as possible to the air intake scoop. Mine tends to hang to the right a bit. May be minimal gains but I prefer the idea of fresh air pulled directly in.

Re: New owner #001

Brilliant, It's great to hear these cars bought to then be used as intended. I was in touch with the original owner of my S1 Exige and he told me "drive it like you stole it, you'll get the best out of it that way!" Of course keep them well serviced and looked after, then use. There is motorsport DN...

Re: Best mod / worst mod

Great idea for a thread. Interesting experiences on 2bular exhausts. I would rate the 2bular cat back system I ordered direct through Jim as one of the best mods to my Exige. It still retains original manifold which seems to have been a lucky decision based on others experiences as I was tempted to ...

Re: Hi all,

Welcome and hope you get to use your Exige soon and the rest of us! Regarding strong fuel smell depending how the car is running could be a few things but from personal experience mine developed a strong smell on fuel which I tracked down to the fuel cap. Swapped it and problem sorted. However prior...

Re: How to get through the winter with no Lotus action...

To be honest it's the first time I've SORN'd the car over winter, just figured back in late October when it turned cold that was the beginning of winter but of course the seasons are all over the place in recent years so you guys are quite right there are opportunities to use the Lotus on crisp dry ...

How to get through the winter with no Lotus action...

... how do you guys do it? My car has been SORN'd now for a few months and I'm just hankering after a good blast on some dry grippy roads which is not gonna be happening until early Spring time. Meanwhile my daily as fun as it is for a little versatile eco wagon (it's a little Audi A2 Tdi remapped) ...

Re: sorting VHPD drivability issues

Cars running rich, it's running well but definitely rich. First thing I'm going to try is putting the cat back on, it's a bit old and came off the car as not on when I bought it. Any of you know if this is the correct one? Also is it worth changing the lambda sensor at the same time? https://i.imgu...
