Re: Nitron Springs - how long should they last?

My springs are many years old and look like new.......the car doesnt see any rain though.

Nitron springs cost about twice as much as 'normal' springs (eg faulkner) so you'd at least expect them to last !

FYI They have changed spring manufacturer over the last few years

Re: S1 Exige Conversion

Might be a good idea to get some headlamp foam seal.

Got mine from Elise Parts but there's nothing stopping you from making your own from solid rubber hose.

Post more pictures when you can, that looks stunning.

I occasionally go for a drive with a 410 in my S1. Unbelievably quick and the standard exhaust sounds fantastic.

Re: Suspension Spring Pressure Rates

I've tried many permutations with my nitron 46 dampers. In the end I matched as close as possible the ratio for the axle weights (loaded with driver only) = 42% - 58% or 0.72 and settled on 450/650 (41/59) using the antiroll bar to adjust the balance. It's really too stiff for UK roads but if I chan...

£300! Are you serious?

I thought this group was to sell items to other like minded owners/enthusiast not rip them off!

BTW They were currently for sale at £50 for OEM ones on the popular S1 FB groups (sold by lotus dealer)

Re: Ohlins 2 Way with 450/600lb Springs

Springs shouldn't set you back too much. Maybe worth a call to Mick Gardener, after being introduced to him by Gav, I've always found them very helpful. Actually PM Gav on here, Tarmac Terrorist (Kevlar Kid Seloc). I had what he had on his 160, 350/450. Drove beautifully. Both will help out with va...
